Welcome

Welcome to our course: How to Plan a Disney World Vacation that’s PERFECT for you!

It’s no secret that planning a Walt Disney World vacation has its challenges.

Where will you stay? What will you eat? Which rides are a must-do? How much is this vacation going to cost?

I get it.

But honestly, what’s even worse is receiving overwhelming advice from families, friends, and those who mean well. As someone who provides information based on experience, I’ve learned the saying, “to each their own,” applies to everyone.

This is your vacation, and I can’t stress the importance enough of researching ahead of time to figure out what will work for your family. That’s why our quick start guide is centered around helping you plan the vacation that’s perfect for your family.

There are so many ways that you can plan a Disney World vacation. But if you’re visiting with a multi-generational group that includes a variety of age ranges from toddlers to grandparents, your vacation will likely look very different than a mom and dad visiting with teens who have a massive thrill-ride agenda.

There is NO one right way to do Disney.

So, as you go through this planning process, I hope you’ll keep these things in mind.

1. You need a budget.

Disney vacations are expensive. Most guests look at the totals for their resort, tickets, and transportation as their budget. They are completely unaware of how fast dining, sodas, snacks, and other extras are going to cost. Did you know it costs extra each day to take advantage of Disney’s skip-the-line service?

Whether you’re on a tight budget or have plenty of room to splurge, having a realistic budget will set you up for a successful vacation.

2. You Need to Pick the Resort that’s Right for You!

If budget is your priority and you’re on a tight one, you should probably choose a value resort. No, they aren’t as fancy as some of the moderates, but that’s okay.

Or maybe this is a special trip, and your budget allows for a nicer hotel. If so, you’re going to get to choose from some of the best-themed resorts out there. It’s a big decision (and investment), so you’ll want to know your options.

3. You Need to Have a Plan for Everything Else! (That Works For You)

Now, we don’t advise over-planning to the extreme that you have every single hour of your vacation scheduled. Let’s leave a little room for spontaneity.

But we do recommend having dining reservations in place, an idea of which park you’ll visit each day, a list of must-do attractions, and plenty of room for downtime, like afternoons at the pool or exploring the resorts.

Again, I don’t want to overwhelm you. So this course provides lessons you can complete at your own pace. Each lesson will contain the steps you need to take to plan your Walt Disney World vacation in a way that works for you. Here’s how that will look:
