Many guests choose a resort based on its pools. If you are a pool person, you might want to check out our resort rankings for the best pools here on Resorts Gal. It’s no secret that Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club is the best pool at Disney World. We love it, however, given its vast size, it’s not for everyone.

There are a few other things you’ll want to know. For instance, every resort (with a few small exceptions) has an arcade. This is an excellent place to burn a little energy on a rainy day.

(Trust me, if you’re kids need to run around and be kids at some point during your stay, you’ll want to know where to find a playground.)

Movies Under the Stars and Marshmallow Roasts

Most resorts offer a nightly Movie Under the Stars and Marshmallow Roasts. These items will be listed on the resort’s recreation calendar. We recommend taking a photo of the calendar upon your arrival so you’ll know what’s available and at what time. The recreation calendar is usually posted in the resort’s lobby.

Marshmallows are complimentary. The roasts usually happen around sunset, depending on the time of the year. You can also purchase upgraded s’mores kits if desired.
